Direct Messages (DMs) are live on DRiP, bringing a new layer of interaction, enabling creators and supporters to connect seamlessly within the platform. Whether you're planning collaborations, handling shipping details for physicals, or simply chatting with fellow fans.
This guide covers how to use DMs, customize settings, and view profile statistics right in conversations.
Accessing DMs
- Log in to your DRiP account on the web or app.
- Look for the envelope icon (✉️) in the top navigation bar, next to notifications and your Droplet balance.
- Click the icon to open your inbox. You'll see any existing conversations or a prompt to start a new one.
- To message someone new, use the search bar to find users, creators, or channels by username or name.
- Start typing your message and send—it's that simple!

DMs support text, and you can switch between personal and channel accounts if you manage both.
Customizing DM Settings for Users
Control who can message you to keep your inbox manageable:
- Go to your profile settings (click your avatar > Settings).
- Under "Direct Messages," choose from:
- Everyone: Anyone on DRiP can DM you.
- People You Follow: Only those you follow can initiate a conversation.
- Save changes. If someone outside your settings tries to message you, they'll see a prompt to follow you first.
This helps prevent unwanted messages while staying open to connections.
Customizing DM Settings for Creators
As a creator, you have additional controls in Creator Studio to manage your channel's inbox:
- Navigate to Creator Studio > Settings > Channel > Direct Message Settings.
- Select one of three options:
- Everyone: Open to all users on the platform.
- Followers Only: Only your channel followers can DM you. Non-followers will be prompted to follow first.
- Supporters Only: Exclusive to supporters who've donated a minimum amount of Droplets (set a custom threshold, e.g., 100 Droplets). Non-qualifying users see a prompt showing how many more Droplets they need to contribute, with quick links to your Thanks page or Store.
- Adjust and save. This is ideal for building a tight-knit community with your top supporters.

Pro Tip: Use the Supporters Only option to reward loyal fans with direct access, encouraging more engagement through donations, auctions, and store purchases.

Tips for Using DMs Effectively
- For Creators: Use DMs to coordinate collabs, share exclusive updates, or manage physical item redemptions without leaving DRiP.
- For Supporters: Reach out to creators you've supported for questions or feedback—check your stats to see your engagement level.
- Best Practices: Be respectful, report spam via the options menu in conversations, and remember DMs are tied to your DRiP wallet for seamless integration.
- Switching Accounts: If you have both a personal and channel account, toggle between inboxes easily from the DM interface.
DMs enhance how creators and fans interact, making DRiP the go-to platform for collectibles and connections. If you encounter issues, reach out to DRiP support.
